FAQs - Please find below answers to the most asked questions.

  • Booking +

I’ve moved since booking, do you need my new address?
    - Yes! We need to send you car parking/motorhome passes so that you can get onto site. Please contact us so that we can update your booking.

Can I book power later if I change my mind?
    - We have a limited number of powered pitches and these tend to sell out faster than our other pitches. We aren’t able to add any additional power to pitches once these are all sold so please book power as part of your booking if you require it.

Can I upgrade my pitch later if I change my mind?
    - We have a limited number of each of our pitches so please book the pitch that you would like. We do operate a waiting list when pitch types sell out which you can be added to in case of any cancellations.

What extras can I have as part of my booking?
    - For Pre-Pitched Tents we also offer both single and double bedding packs (sleeping bag(s) and air bed(s)) as an add on. Motorhomes/Caravans/Campervans can book electric hook up as an add on as well as Tuesday arrival. All tent pitches and pre-pitched accommodation can purchase extra car passes as only one is included with the booking. Motorhome/Campervan/Caravan pitches do not include a car pass and these must be purchased separately.

When do camping tickets/correspondence get sent out?
    - Directions to site/traffic email will be sent out the middle of June as we liaise with other campsites and the Festival Traffic Team. Car Park and Motorhome passes are sent out at the beginning of June. You may also receive other reminder emails leading up the festival to check that we have the correct address/details for you in case of any changes. You can also stay up to date/contact us via both our Facebook and Instagram pages.

Do you get a pre-arranged plot for tent pitches or is it allocated on first arrival?
    - All pitches are pre-allocated. If you have any preferences or requests then please include this in the ‘Guest Requests’ box when you book and we will do our best to accommodate these. If you are booking as part of a group please also let us know as we will pitch you together if possible.

Can other people who aren’t staying at Willow Meadows come in and visit?
    - We sell a limited number of guest wristbands at reception for £10 per guest. These will need to be purchased before you guest arrives (so they can get through security) and have a time limit on for when they must be offsite.

What’s the ratio of toilets and showers to tents/people? What beauty appliances are there?
    - We have 1 toilet for every 13 people, 1 shower for every 29 people that are all cleaned and stocked up regularly by our lovely staff. In our Pamper Tent we have mirrors, hair dryers and straighteners available for use. There are also plug sockets if you wish to bring your own.

    Is there WiFi?
    - No. As a rural location our connection isn’t able to cope with the increased demand during the festival.

How many guests can stay on each pitch type?
    - Our Tent Pitch and Twin Deluxe Cabins can take up to two guests. Our Super Tent Pitch, Ridgeline Tent, 4m/5m Bell Tents and Motorhome/Caravan and Campervan Pitches can all take up to four guests. Our Group Tents and RV Pitches are able to take up to six guests.

  • Arrival +

What time can we arrive on the Wednesday?
    - Our car parks and reception open from 9am. Motorhomes, Caravans and Campervans can pay an additional fee to arrive on the Tuesday. Please book this as part of your booking.

What info do I need to bring with me for the welcome team?
    - The name of the lead booker and type of pitch you have booked is all we need. We recommend bringing a screenshot of your booking if traffic around the Glastonbury site is busy as it will get you through to us more easily.

What is the queue like to get into the campsite?
    - 5-10 minutes is what we aim for. We try to keep queues as short as possible and they often are unless we get a large number of arrivals at the same time.

How do we enter/exit the site? E.g. is there a wristband for Willow Meadows or a security gate?
    - All campers on arrival are given a wristband that gets you through all of our security checkpoints. Please look after these as lost wristbands incur a £10 replacement charge. We have 24/7 security with reception open from 9am-5pm everyday. We also have an out of hours number.

How far is the car park from the tents?
    - Depending on your pitch and parking space a 5-15 minute walk. It is a slight uphill but we do provide pull along trolleys to help move your belongings. If you have a disability or additional mobility need please include this in the ‘Guest Requests’ box when you book and we will do our best to support you.

Are we able to inflate air beds etc that we bring with us?
    - Yes, we have pumps available in our Pamper Tent.

Can you access the site from Shepton Mallet going through Pilton Village?
    - You can, but you are very likely to get stuck in traffic heading into the main festival. We send our a information email closer to the festival with our suggested routes depending on where you are coming from so that you have the smoothest journey possible.

Will there be wheelbarrows to help lug our belongings from the car to our pitches?
    - Yes. We have pull along carts available to move luggage. There may be a short wait for these during busy times.

Do we come to the campsite before getting our festival wristbands?
    - You won’t be able to get into our site without coming through reception to collect your wristband. If you have a ‘normal’ ticket you need to come to us first before heading to the festival. If you have a coach ticket you will be taken to the festival so get your wristband at Pedestrian Gate A and then walk to Pedestrian Gate D to get to us.

  • Your Stay +

Can we bring glass onto your site?
    - Yes you can! Please let us know about any breakages so that we can help you clean up.

Can we bring our own booze?
    - Yes, we also have a fully stocked bar for you to enjoy.

Does the campsite sell bags of ice?
    - Unfortunately no as we have no access to freezer facilities. If you have booked power you can always bring an electric cool box or fridge.

Can we bring small folding BBQS?
    - Small gas cookers or BBQs that have a limited naked flame are ok to bring onsite. We do not allow fire pits, large or disposable BBQS as they are too much of a fire hazard. In the event of warm weather you may be asked to limit use or move away from the tented areas to use permitted cookers.

What seating/chill out areas are there?
    - We have our Entertainment Tent at the bottom of our site with seating, tables and power sockets throughout the festival. There are also outside tables for the bar and catering. We also have our Pamper Area next to the showers with sofas, hairdryers, straighteners and power sockets open 24/7.

Can you leave site in your car if you need to?
    - Yes you can take your car in and out of the car park as much as you need to. Car park spaces are not allocated so the same space may not be available on your return.

How many plug sockets are provided when we pay for supply to the tent?
    - Two standard UK sockets. There are additional sockets in both our Entertainment and Pamper Tents. Please do not bring anything over 1500W or extension leads as it will overload our system.

    Can we bring Gazebos?
    - No. Due to fire regulations we cannot allow an gazebos or similar to be erected between tents on site.

Will we have to walk to the gate via the main road and official car park or is there a shortcut?
    - We have our own shortcut so you mainly walk through fields and a very short section of a small quiet lane. The walk is roughly 10-15 minutes.

    map

Are there water taps to fill up our water bottles?
    - There are several water taps around the site but all our water is drinking water. On arrival you’ll receive a map with points pictured.

Are we allowed to put anything on the outside of our tents to help us identify/locate our tents?
    - Definitely as long as it doesn’t create a large obstruction to walkways. Please ensure that this is all removed at the end of the festival.

Are there any shops close to the campsite?
    - Our nearest supermarkets are Tesco/Morrisons in Glastonbury or Tesco in Shepton Mallet.

    Can you accept deliveries?
    - We can take urgent deliveries that are clearly labelled with the name of the recipient. We will contact you when they arrive and hold these at reception for collection.

Are there any food or coffee trucks on site and what time will they be open?
    - We have both a bar and catering van. The caters are open from around 8am through to mid morning, again for lunch and at 5pm for teatime. Please let them know any dietary requirement when you arrive. The bar is open as long as people are drinking! We also have a guest pizza van on the Thursday night.

    Is there a noise curfew?
    - No. Our site is generally quiet throughout the evening unless you are enjoying our bar and catering facilities. We do ask that everyone respects other campers especially during the late night/early hours.

Are your toilets and showers open 24/7?
    - Yes they are! Our cleaning teams also regularly pop round to make sure everything is spick and span. Please let a member of the team know if you find anything amiss.

How many people does your Pamper Tent hold?
    - 20-30 people seated and standing. It is an extension of our changing rooms so large and spacious.

Is there Campervan key storage onsite? E.g. lockers.
    - No. We do not have any secure storage and all personal belongings are brought onto our site at their owners risk.

Are we able to put a lock on the Bell Tents?
    - Each Pre-Pitched Tent has a padlock that you will be given the keys to when you arrive.

  • Departure +

What time do we need to leave by on Monday?
    - We ask that everyone is offsite by Midday. Facilities such as water, toilets and showers may be switched off from 11am.

    How do we check out?
    - If you have a Pre-Pitched Tent please drop your key and padlock into the box at Reception. This is available from Sunday morning. All pitches need to also be cleared of rubbish which can be put in the many bins around the site.

What is the traffic like leaving the site?
    - It mainly depends on what the traffic leaving the festival is like, but if you follow our arrival instructions in reverse you should avoid the worst of it.

What happens if I get home and find I’ve lost something?
    - Any found property is kept securely onsite by our team for a minimum of 6 weeks after the festival. We try to unit as much lost property as possible before the festival is over. Any valuable items/festival tickets are prioritised. Please let reception know, drop us an email or DM straightaway when you realise something is missing to help us get it back to you.

I had a Ridge Tent to myself, which felt like a Castle Tent at Glastonbury for 5 nights. I thought the site and facilities were perfect - bar, food truck, toilets, hot showers, beauty room, chill out space and live music. The parking looked easy - I came by train. Check-in was super fast. I felt very safe, the other campers in WM were really nice. I don't think I will stay anywhere else now at Glasto. It was so quiet too, I slept like a baby. I hope to be back in 2025 with my Wife & friends.

Great offsite camping option for Glastonbury. We had our own tent. Everything was well organised including a marked out, reserved pitch and plentiful flush toilets and good showers. Great location only a 10 minute walk to the nearest entrance gate. Almost all the walk was through the campsite or one of the festival car parks in a field.

First class. Really nice site and friendly staff. Very quiet of a night. Showers were excellent & toilets clean.15 mins walk to gate D. Sited a motorhome with electric hook up. Loads of space on the pitch , needed chocks as the field is on a slight incline. Defo return if lucky enough to get tickets for next year🙏🏻

Wonderful campsite - great facilities. We all had an absolute blast at Glastonbury festival so lucky to be able to be part of it. The campsite was conveniently placed for the walk into the festival with security guards and well lit at night. The biggest thanks to Adrian and his crew, who helped set up the caravan and level it and found a correct electric cable! We would have been lost without that for sure! His crew were again amazing always on hand to help, answer questions and jump start the car for the journey home!! 🙈😂 just Brilliant.

Third visit for Glastonbury Festival since 2019 and as The Beatles said ‘it’s getting better all the time’ … 2024 was so well organised, great facilities, showers and flushable loos were as usual a god send …20 minutes walk from Gate D is perfect … if we decide to do Glastonbury 2025 and get tickets then defo will go with Willow Meadows again!

We stayed here for the Glastonbury festival. Directions were ok and reception was terrific, friendly and helpful. The toilets were cleaned regularly, showers were a little cold for me (I am an early riser) but my daughter always had warm water. Security was very visible and the park was well lit. The entrance was only a few minutes from the Glastonbury car park and exactly as described. Overall I would recommend Willow Meadows and happily stay there again.

From beginning to end, we were delighted with our choice to stay here. Loads of information was provided before our arrival, and fast helpful responses to our daft questions. As first timers we had a few. Adrian and his family went above and beyond the call of duty to be helpful and welcoming. We had two Motorhome’s side by side, the pitches are gently sloping which was easily corrected with ramps. The ablution facilities were plentiful and very well maintained by a great team. We had everything we needed in plenty of space and loved our stay. We plan to stay again next year with a bit of luck.

This was our first Glastonbury and our stay at Willow Meadows was perfect. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay and an easy walk into the festival. Wil absolutely stay here again if we're lucky enough to get tickets next year.

This was our first Glastonbury and we were anxious re the stay/walk/facilities. In addition, my husband has a life-limiting condition so we needed to be sure he had easy access and comfort. We need not have worried. From beginning to end Willow Meadows listened to all our needs, adapted to the and helped in every way they could. The facilities were clean, spacious and comfortable. The bar and food van friendly and reasonably priced. We felt safe and cared for. Highly recommended.

A great stay and the staff were so helpful and accommodating. Lots of little things to make the stay easier such as trolleys to take your gear form the car park a very short walk away. Great location near gate d too which made getting in and out of the festival very easy.

This was a fantastic place to stay for Glastonbury Festival. First rate staff and facilities. Everything promised was delivered and more! Loved it! The charging area and hairdryer/ straighteners tent was genius. Showers were almost always boiling hot. Loos were immaculate, and bands playing were terrific.

Absolutely perfect, just what was needed to enjoy the full Glastonbury experience. Everyone was helpful, friendly, kind and patient. The facilities were spotless, always available and not crowded. The tent was warm and comfy too, with electric being a game changer!

Willow Meadows was everything it promised and more. Fantastic helpful and friendly staff, terrific facilities including always clean loos, hot showers, multiple charging points and hairdryers / straighteners.
